Great post Brooke. Turkey is still 97% Muslim. Ataturk was not against people practicing Islam, but he wanted the government to be secular.

I visited Italy two summers ago and it was magnificent. Rome has such beautiful architecture and the ancient ruins are awe inspiring. The giant timeline that we did this week helped me appreciate how old the Roman ruins truly are in relationship to our short lives. Mr. Hetherington
